I've been building, and things are starting to go live.
This isn't just one project — it's a direction. Games, language tools, calculators, widgets. Software that's useful or fun or both. It all lives on The Lab, and I'll keep adding to it.
Here's where things stand.
StarshipTrooperZ
Browser-based space shooter, deployed and playable right now. No download, runs in the tab. This is the first thing I shipped and it's still in active development.
The Concept
If you know Starship Troopers — the Heinlein novel more than the movie — you know the central idea: citizenship isn't given, it's earned. A Civilian has rights. A Citizen has done the service, taken the risk, earned the standing. That's the game's DNA. You fight to prove yourself. The goal isn't just to survive — it's to earn your place.
What's Live
One playable area, one mode. No saves, no accounts yet — you play a session, you score, that's the run. It's intentionally stripped down. I wanted something real in the world before I built on top of it.
What's Coming
- • Leaderboard — score tracking across players
- • More areas — new maps, new enemy types
- • Progression — upgrades and rank between sessions
- • More stats — time survived, sectors cleared, rank earned
The foundation is solid. The rest is iteration.
Travel Language Apps
Also live in The Lab now. Browser-based, built to teach basic Travel Language vocabulary and phrases, from the airport to hotel, getting you there and back safely. This one is early but functional — I'm developing it into a full structured, multicultural course.
More details on that as it takes shape.
More Coming
There are other ideas in development I'm not ready to talk about yet. Tools, games, things that don't fit a neat category. The pattern is the same: build something useful or interesting, ship it, refine it.
The Lab is where all of it lands. Check back.
Why I'm Building This
Software is how I stay sharp. You have an idea, you build it, it either works or it doesn't, and you figure out why. The process is the point as much as the product.
The goal long-term is a portfolio of useful things — tools people actually use, games people actually play, built and maintained by one person with a clear point of view.
That's what's happening here.
