Data collection

Scott's World does not automatically collect personal information from visitors. The only time personal data is requested is when you voluntarily provide it — such as signing up for the email list or submitting a service inquiry.

Scott's World does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioral tracking tools. Vercel, the hosting platform, may collect standard server-level request logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) as part of normal infrastructure operation. This data is not shared with Scott and is governed by Vercel's own privacy policy.

How data is used

Information you provide is used solely to send the content you requested — new post notifications, product launch alerts, and site updates. Scott's World does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any unrelated third parties.

Email service provider

Email communications are managed through Kit (formerly ConvertKit). When you subscribe, your email address and optional first name are transmitted to and stored by Kit. Kit operates under its own privacy policy and terms of service. Scott's World uses Kit solely for sending content subscribers have opted into — no marketing automation, no third-party ad targeting.

Cookies and local storage

This site may use browser local storage to maintain preferences such as cookie consent state. There are no advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or marketing cookies active on this site. If analytics or tracking tools are added in the future, this policy will be updated before they go live.

External platforms

Product purchases and service payments are processed through trusted third-party platforms. Scott's World links to these services but does not process payments directly and is not responsible for their data handling practices.

Data retention

Email subscribers remain in the list until they unsubscribe or request deletion. Inquiry form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond and are not stored in any permanent database by this site. Deletion requests are honored promptly.

Security

Scott's World is served over HTTPS with SSL encryption. No payment information is collected or stored by this site directly — all transactions occur on the third-party platforms listed above. Reasonable technical measures are in place to protect site infrastructure, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. In the unlikely event of a data incident affecting information you submitted to this site, you will be notified.

Children's privacy

Scott's World is not directed at children under the age of 13. This site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact Scott immediately and the information will be removed.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information you have submitted to this site. To exercise these rights, contact Scott directly through the site. No unrelated personal data
